Wasserprobleme in Jordanien/Lack of water in Jordan/Mancanza d’acqua

Ich habe einige Vokabeln auch auf Englisch und Italienisch  übersetzt. Ein Audio mit Antworten zu den unten stehenden Fragen ist auf Deutsch

und eins auf Englisch.

I’ve tried  translated some vocabulary into English and Italian and there are qustions in three languages. If you scroll

In Jordanien, diesem hochinteressanten Land, ist die Wasserknappheit ganz besonders schlimm. Es gehört zu

den fünf am stärksten betroffenen Ländern.

An der Stelle, wo Jesus getauft wurde ist der Jordan heute nur noch ein braunes Rinnsal (rivulet/ruscello). Die

Taufstätte selbst befindet sich mehrere hundert Meter vom Wasser entfernt.

Der Wasserspiegel des Toten Meeres, Richtung Süden, sinkt  ständig. Die Meeresoberfläche  (surface of the sea/

superficie del mare) ist in den letzten 5o Jahren um 24 Meter gesunken. Das Tote Meer hat sich folglich in zwei

Teile geteilt (separated into /diviso. Wenn die Entwicklung so weitergeht gibt es im Jahre 2050 kein Totes Meer

mehr. (There will be no Death Sea anymore by 2050 if things don’t change./Entro il 2050 non ci sarà più un Mar

Morto se l’andamento delle cose non cambia.)

Heute erreichen nur ungefähr (approximately/circa 10% der Wassermenge aus dem Jordan das Tote Meer und

das ist vor allem Abwasser (sewage/acque luride oder verschmutztes Wasser.

Diese ganze Tragödie begann 1964, als die israelische Regierung begann Jordanwasser abzuzapfen. (deviate and use/

deviare e usare)

Die Bevölkerung ist sehr betroffen (concerned/toccata von diesem Zustand. Es gibt normalerweise  nur alle zwei Wochen

Wasser an alle Haushalte. Jede Familie hat einen Vorratstank und man Wasser auch im Geschäft kaufen.

Man braucht daher unbedingt neue Projekte. Eins davon ist einen Kanal zwischen dem Roten Meer und dem Toten

Meer zu bauen und das Wasser dann vom Roten Meer,  ins Tote Meer, das ungefähr 400 Meter unter dem Meerespiegel (sea-level/livello del mare) liegt, zu pumpen. Die Hälfte

davon würde man dann entsalzen. Die Jordanier haben anscheinend auch eine türkische Firma beauftragt

(charged/incaricato) eine 325 Kilometer lange Pipeline von der saudiarabischen Grenze bis nach Amman zu bauen

(build/costruire). Ausserdem zählen sie auch auf Nuklearengergie und sie beten! (pray/pregare)

Zum Schluss möchte ich noch erwähnen, dass viele Menschen  auch ans Tote Meer gehen, um von Hautkrankheiten, wie

Psoriasis geheilt zu werden.

Come ultimo vorrei menzionare che tanta gente fa a fare i bagni nel Mar Morto per farsi curare da malatie della pelle,

come psoriasi.

Pain soothing water!

As it is so hot these days I thought also that everybody was thinking or of water of other fresh drinks!  Did you know that it takes 25 years for this special water to come down from the Säntis and that Mrs. Manser flavoured the mineralwater so that know there are  now the following qualities:Flauder, Himmel and Wonder. By the way,” to tighten the belt” means to have less money at disposal.

In 2005 Mrs. Manser received the “Veuve Clicquot Business Award”.
