The eating habits of the nation become evident. It’s at the schools where pupils buy fries, Swiss Rolls, chips, coke or Gotorade. The responsible people turn a blind eye to these eating habits. The Food Service director says that the children make the right decisions. There is a company( Sodexho) which supplies food to the schools and prisons which means thousands of inmates are also fed with marshmallows or candy bars. There are other schools which don’t outsource food service but are on a lunch line program. They offer mainly reheated or repackaged food. The whole food is in  boxes. Out of 36 meals six are homemade.

There is another school in Wisconsin where the food served to the pupils is very different. It contains low fat, low sugar, fresh vegetable, no beef, they don’t fry and don’t use preservatives but a lot of whole grains.

Students who get this kind of food seem to behave better, are more concentrated and there is less truancy. This kind of food isn’t more expensive.

The hero of this film put on 24.5lbs in 30 days of this special diet and felt depressed exhausted and suffered of headache. His sex life didn’t existe anymore and he had made himself much more at risk of heart failure and heart disease and fat liver.

What do you think about fast food? List positive and negative points?
