FOR CONSENSUS REALITY SCROLL DOWN /VEDI DI SOTTO “PER CONSENSO SULLA REALTA’

FURKA GLETSCHER; ODER WAS ÜBRIG IST!/ THE REMAINS OF THE FURKA GLACIER/ IL RiMANENTE DEL GHIACCIAO DELLA FURKA

Here you see a flowering poppy field in Usbekistan and puppy belongs to the oldest medicinal plants! Let’s hope that it will go on developing and producing its very precious seeds, which in Ancient Greek’s culture was a symbol of cultivation, sleep, peace and death!

Here in Switzerland water supply to the people hasn’t been, in general, any problem. We also have always had very good quality drinking water. For many years, however, we can read or hear that our glaciers are vanishing completely, if the temperatures continue to rise, that the summers with these longer periods of heatwaves are increasing and that old people shouldn’t move much under these circumstances. Voices about our rivers being many times as polluted as we had supposed and that even normal rain isn’t granted anymore!

But is all this true? Can it be trusted or do you have a completely other opinion?

In fact we human beings feel these changes on our own bodies, but we don’t do enough to make any changes of the situation. We have the illusion that the fruit, which the earth gives us regularly, as a matter of course, from year to year continues, despite all this, to bloom and mature. Do we still know what real beauty is or has it also been turned into a consume terror?

I have the impression that man and nature around us are not one anymore. We are, in fact very active on social networks and are in fact, generally, flooded by news because we have countless friends and should therefore be very well informed of how we should proceed so that the situation improves, but can we trust these information? Have we been less manipulated in the past???Maybe we have just to close our eyes to see reality! (From the book SHANTARAM)

I ask myself, whether it is the sheer amount of the news, which provokes the  breakdown of the consensus of reality or faith in it or in man, because due to all the information we do not have time to think profoundly about them or weigh up whom, what and why we can believe and whom, what and why not! By the way, is it true that Facebook took or takes over all its competitors and where and under which conditions are our smartphones produced?

In the thought provoking book “SHANTARAM” (the story takes place in Bombay and surrounding) by Gregor David Roberts, where I daily learn a life lesson, I have just read the following sentence: It is a fact of life on the run that you often love more people than you trust. In the save world, of course, exactly the opposite is true!

Also in the region of the Big Sur it seems to become drier and drier!/California sembra di diventare più e più secco!

In the Old Testament it is written that at the time of the construction of the Babel Tower people were so arrogant that God made a confusion of the language so that they did not understand themselves anymore! Are we now again at this point, where we cannot reach anymore a consensus reality with our neighbours?

Was man da liest ist erschreckend!

  3. I have told you that I am reading SHANTARAN, book in wihich I can read life lessons on almost every page! At about 35% Khaderbhai ( he seems to be very important) asks Lin (the Australian), if he could teach English to a boy and that he would like the boy to live with him. Lin answers that he would like to do it but that he lives in the slum and that there is very little space and that it is dirty! Khaderbhai says that he is of the opinion that every child, beginning with the sons and daughters of the rich, would benefit from the experience of slum life!!

  4. Greg Roberts a sort of new Henri Charrier, from criminal turned into a successful novelist, as a runaway in India.

By the way from a few weeks I wonder about telling you from a Swiss vlogger very successful in Mexico, he is quite an eccentric traveler, but very agreeable person, Italian mother, Spanish father, recently married to a Mexican girl, and now with a baby daughter.

Here you can see by yourself, has subtitles in German, and Italian as well, one video in Switzerland and the other in Mexico, but he has many videos, from his vagabond ways, you can check him out:

    Happy New Year Martina! 🙂

    • Well, this is a very nice comment and I thank you so much for the comparison you made. I would never have thought of Henry Charrier, despite the fact that I read Papillon, ages ago, however. There are really many situations which can be compared, such as criminality, escape from prison and maybe success ! I really love Shantaran for all the good lessons it gives me. 🌻. I am curious about the successful Swiss blogger, but I can’t see any link! Very happy New year to you too! Martina

  5. Well he is not a blogger, but a Vlogger which means you can see his videos in Youtube, he has a channel there and his handle name for the Vlog is: Vagaboom, I sent you two videos, but perhaps your blog format does not allow it to see it, but if you go to Youtube just search for Vagaboom and you will see his videos, unfortunately, not all his videos have translation into German or Italian, but many do, specially the late ones, or the ones he filmed in Switzerland.

Best wishes for you and your family, Martina! 🙂

      • A lot of people watch him in Mexico, he is kind of special, and he is on the go, at the drop of a hat, but is kind of fun to see him, from place, to place with his family on tow, all over the place, from banker in Switzerland to Vagabond adventurer, although, he makes pretty good money doing it, showing it in Youtube.
        Cheers! To you as well.

  6. Yes , your blog format does not allow for the videos to show up, if you want to check them you need to go to Youtube, there you can find them easy in their search engine typing : Vagaboom

Thank you for your best wishes, likewise for you, and your family.

  7. Well, the bicycle thing was years ago, now with family they travel in a SUV I do not know how you call those vehicles in Europe, but its only logical with the Baby on tow, well, they have more gear, and stuff to carry, plus it would be very dangerous for the baby if they could fall, or an accident, on the bicycle, plus they can sleep there if they need to, etc.
From young people, they are just turning into adults with more responsibility, I guess. 🙂

  8. Just as the title of your post, very good Martina!
Just to let you know, there’s a lot of foreign young guys, living in Mexico and doing Vlogging, for a living, and I guess because it’s funny seeing foreigners deal with other cultures, and one as idiosyncratic as Mexico, and trying to deal with it, people over here follows them and see them. most of the foreign Vloggers , know each other, and sometimes share experiences, or travel together, it can be fun, and illuminating to see what they go through.
Here is two German men, one trying to teach German to his Mexican girlfriend, you may get a few laughs.

  9. Kitchen cupboard or alacena de cocina in Spanish!

  11. You have some good points. It sure feels that man aren’t one with nature. And not even one with one another. Too much news? Well, it depends what you mean by news. Unimportant social news and slander and other irrelevant “news”, yes, definitely. But people actually reading or getting factual and substantiated news, the fact is the amount is declining. So we get more news and become more stupid… All thanks to technology in part. I think.

    • Yes, Otto, it has been quite a while that I have had this feeling that, despite the fact that we seem to know much more than in the past, we have become more stupid, more superficial, because of too much news, of course, more respectless and money has become our new God! What have we done with our nature? Food has become overloaded with sugar, which makes us, the people of this globalized world, sick! Thank you very much, Otto, for your opinion and stay well:) Very best regards Martina
