My summary concerning this topic is in German/Italian/English.

Siehe unten.

You have probably already heard from this special exhibition in Bern of  a group of the world famous terracotta warriors of  the eternal emperor Qin Shi Huangdi (159-210 a.D.) who had this army of life-size warriors built after the reunification of the Chinese empire and it was buried with him after his death. The whole gigantic complex consists of about 8’000 warriors but so far only about 1’500 have been brought up and I would really like to recommend you with all my heart to visit this exhibition, maybe on your next holiday?

I’ve just seen a documentary on Arte according to which these famous soldiers don’t look alike the cinese people from that period, but the Greeks, what a surprise! When I came back from my trip to China and Xian I wrote an article and I would like to add the link to it here below.

  1. Very nice that You have seen then. It must have been an experience to see them on the place! Last year we had an exhibition of them called the Terracotta army in Tampere, Finland. I took 93 photos from it.
